The creator physically demonstrates the tool and cites a target of 996 ± 1 mm, measured from the indicated prism edge. This is a diagnostic aid, not a structural repair fixture or substitute for the BMW body-repair manual. Verify the specification against documentation for the exact body before acting on a reading; no vehicle component OEM number is applicable.
