This is a replacement part for the BMW 5 Series Touring (F11). It is the sliding clip ("leash" or "dog") located in the D-pillar track that automatically raises and lowers the rear cargo blind (luggage cover) when the trunk is opened. OEM Part Number: 51437232775 Tested on: BMW F11 520d Touring IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS 1. FUNCTION: This part slides inside the track of the rear pillar. It is crucial for the automatic retraction of the luggage cover. 2. LEFT vs RIGHT Side: The uploaded file is for the LEFT side. If you need the RIGHT side, simply use the "Mirror" function (along X-axis) in your slicer software. 3. MATERIAL RECOMMENDATION: Because this part moves in a track and bears weight, I strongly recommend printing with NYLON (PA). - Nylon provides the necessary low friction and high durability. - ABS/ASA might work but will wear out faster. - PLA is NOT recommended. 4. PRINT SETTINGS: - Infill: 100% (Solid) for maximum strength. - Orientation: Print in an orientation that maximizes layer adhesion strength for the pulling force. Designed from scratch as a cost-effective alternative to the expensive OEM repair kit. Creator-tested on an F11 520d Touring. The supplied file is the left sliding coupling; mirror on X for the right side. BMWFans identifies genuine BMW 51437232775 as Coupling, left, produced from 2010-06 for F11/F11 LCI European applications including LHD and RHD. Use nylon where possible, not PLA, and verify smooth movement before loading the blind. Verify dimensions against the original component and confirm full operation before regular use.
